Petition for: Zero Carbon by 2030 – Shropshire Council

Shewsbury XR have set up an e-petition to Shropshire Council which we hope to present to the Council Meeting on 12th December. The Council have accepted there is a climate emergency but declined to set any target date by which the activities of the council are to be net zero carbon. We believe having a target is essential and 2030 is reasonable.

and we hope you will want to sign. To be able to present the petition to the Council Meeting we need 1000 signatures by 25th November but we very much want to achieve that well before the deadline. At the recent meetings by Railfuture and Better Shrewsbury Transport we circulated the same petition on paper so if you signed then you have done it – thank you.
Finally:- It will be extremely helpful if you can make as many people as possible aware of the petition and ask them to sign it as well.
